Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, can say that her season with now ex-husband Richard Lawson is finally over. The matriarch finalized her very quiet divorce from the actor.
Tina’s divorce settlement includes paying Richard– a substantial one-time lump sum payment of $300,000, according to In Touch Weekly. Court documents obtained by the publication spell out the intricacies of the agreement, which settles any outstanding matters between the parties.
Tina and Richard’s divorce settlement acknowledges that “irreconcilable differences have arisen between the parties which have led to the irremediable breakdown of the marriage, making it impossible for the parties to live together as husband and wife.”
As part of the agreement, the matriarch was awarded several assets, including a 2018 Tesla, a 2020 Bentley, and the rights to her book deal with Penguin Random House. Additionally, Tina will retain a one percent interest in Kirby Beauty Management LLC, as well as furniture and artwork in her possession and her homes in Los Angeles and Texas. She will also keep all creative works and ideas developed during the marriage.
Richard will leave the marriage debt-free. His ex-wife was tasked with paying off any outstanding credit card bills. He also made off with a 2021 Cadillac Escalade, several bank and retirement accounts, all money owed to Richard Lawson Studios, any royalties earned, and all creative works he came up with during the union. He also keeps his benefits and royalties from the Screen Actor’s Guild.
Richard cannot disparage the family either.
Tina, 70, and Richard, 77, were married on April 12, 2015, but separated on July 25, 2023. Tina filed for divorce the following day.
Fairly soon after the couple’s divorce announcement, the septuagenarians headed straight for the streets, where they seemingly lived their best lives.
In January, the matriarch turned up with her good Judys— Holly Robinson-Peete, Lela Rochon Fuqua and Vivica A. Fox for her birthday.

Richard was also caught outside with TikTokers speculating that he was even unbothered by his marriage ending.
