A viral TikTok video is drawing attention after a woman used her grandfather’s funeral service to confront relatives and accuse them of isolating him, taking his money and keeping him away from family members who wanted to remain in his life.
The video was posted Nov. 2 by TikTok user Alexus J. It showed the woman speaking at a podium during the memorial service, addressing family members while acknowledging that the service is being livestreamed.
Granddaughter Addresses Relatives During Funeral Livestream
The woman begins by acknowledging the livestream and the family members she believes are watching.
“And I do know that this is being livestreamed when Uncle Randy is watching, you know. And I just want to say to the family, Yolanda, I love you. Sherry, I love you.
“Sandra, Angela, y’all took our grandfather from us and hid him in that back room for three years. Y’all stuck four years. Y’all stole his checks from him just like grandmama.
“And y’all not right. Y’all going to hell on the fastest train, smoking. And it’s very rude, wrong, and disrespectful what y’all did to us.
“Y’all took that man from us. The people at the hospital told y’all that he needed rehabilitation before y’all took him, and y’all still did it. So yeah, we have family in Detroit, his grandkids that loved him.
“He had friends in Detroit that loved him. And y’all took him from us, and it’s not right. And you know, y’all got to deal with God at the end of that.
“And you’re not going to tell me it’s okay because we’re leaving anyways. I’ve been kicked out of better places. I came here to say my final piece because this is the last time that I have to deal with you all.

Her remarks turned the memorial into a reality TV tell-all more than a farewell. Rather than keeping the family conflict private, she used the mic to put her grievances in front of the people gathered to remember her grandfather — and anyone watching the livestream.

In a follow-up TikTok video shared today, the woman’s mother explained the family brought her grandfather’s remains back to Detroit. Speaking from the cemetery, she explained why they waited to share more details about the situation.

The mother says the family wanted to complete the return of the grandfather’s remains before publicly discussing what happened. She also claims they withheld the arrangements because they feared Sandra and Angela might interfere with the timing.
Her promise of a fuller account suggested the family dispute may not be over.
