The long-running legal proceedings between Cardi B and Tasha K have reached a definitive financial inflection point. After years of digital conflict and courtroom maneuvers, controversial vlogger Tasha Kebe has acknowledged a total loss in the matter.

The sober admission comes as attorneys for the femcee move to scrap a prior settlement and reinstate the full $4 million defamation judgment originally awarded in 2022.

Is Tasha K facing a $4 million comeback?

While the two parties had previously negotiated a restructured deal that reduced the debt to roughly $1.2 million, that arrangement is currently at risk. According to recent filings reviewed by TMZ, Cardi B’s legal team is moving to reinforce the original, larger debt. The primary reason is an alleged breach of the non-disparagement clause that was the foundation of their settlement.

The evidence involves a recent livestream where Kebe discussed Cardi’s estranged husband, Offset, regarding alleged gambling habits.

“Offset works at the casino; he is down there five times a week, clocking in… and he uses everyone else’s money to gamble with,” Kebe stated during the broadcast. This commentary is being characterized by attorney Lisa Moore as a “relentless course of conduct” utilizing coded language to generate revenue at the rapper’s expense.

Why are ‘hallucinated’ cases stalling the bankruptcy plan?

Beyond social media content, the conflict has extended into the technicalities of Tasha K’s bankruptcy plan. Cardi’s legal team accused Kebe’s lawyers of citing a fabricated case named “Doe v. Gonzalez.” In a response, Cardi’s attorneys noted: “Using fake and hallucinated cases casts a shadow on the validity of the judicial process and causes the public to question its commitment to truth and justice, which is particularly odious.”

The suggestion of AI-generated or unverified legal research has complicated the proceedings. Moore’s team further stated: “Ms. Almánzar does not presume to know whether this citation was generated through AI assistance without adequate verification, copied from a secondary source, or introduced through some other mechanism.”

The procedural situation resulted in both Kebe and her attorney being fined, a development that preceded the commentator’s admission of defeat.

The Admission of Defeat

In a livestream following the court hearing, Kebe stated that the pressure from her own legal counsel, Chad, became significant. Her lawyer reportedly described the situation as a “PR nightmare,” prompting the removal of the disputed content.

Reflecting on the hearing, the vlogger, seemingly exhausted, said.

“If you hear we lost, we lost the war. But you know what I have? My dignity,” she told her audience. Despite the potential for a massive financial obligation, she appeared unconcerned, attributing the loss to the volatility of her profession. “I’m used to losing… but I always overcome,” she remarked, stating that “businesses have issues we have to sort out.”
