This week on Season 9 of Ready To Love, it’s the men’s turn to eliminate someone and they have a tough decision to make. Will wants answers and Koshiea wants that smoke. Tommy throws a pajama party to help the singles get more comfortable with one another but some people get way too comfortable. Episode 5 started out more subdued than previous episodes, but it certainly didn’t end that way. Whew chile, let’s get into it.
A Wholesome Date
Vanessa and Laron go out for an afternoon of paddle board yoga. The athletic Vanessa seemed to be in her element as she executed poses while balancing herself on the board—Laron, not so much. Our brother fell in the water at the beginning of the class. Although he struggled throughout, our boy powered through. Not only did this date appear to be fun, it was the perfect way to break the ice, have a few laughs and getting to know if one another is ready to love.
Laron has developed a reputation as the “party boy” amongst the ladies. He seems to resent this because he gets defensive when Vanessa asks him about his proclivity for festivities. He explained that he goes to “lounges” four nights a week because he works from home and this is the only way he can socialize. Vanessa, who prefers a quieter life, doesn’t seem convinced.
The Pajama Jam
Tommy arranges a pajama-themed party. Most of the singles show up in their finest bedroom fashions while some of the guys do the bare minimum–tee shirts, basketball shorts and sweats. This is telling.
Will is not in the partying mood, he learns that one of the ladies told others that he sleeps on the floor. He goes from woman to woman until he finds his culprit. Patrice admits to telling the girls that Will was fine and furnitureless. Patrice reminded Will that he was the one who shared this information with her. According to Will, Patrice misunderstood him. Not only does he have a bed but is a “multi-millionaire” who owns several properties. Okay then.
Does anyone REALLY believe Will is a multi millionaire??🤔

Meika and Domonique chop it up over drinks. We learn that they’ve texting one another regularly in episode 5. They seem to have made a connection but there’s only one problem. Domonique wants to become a father one day and Meika has closed her baby factory. The mother- of -two says she may be open to the possibility of having another child if she met the right person. Meika doesn’t sound too convincing. It appears that she is firm on her decision and that’s okay.
Later she talks to Justin, who is okay with not having biological children. Brotherman says he has big “step-daddy energy.” Meika should redirect her focus to Justin. He may be a more suitable match.
The pajama jam is in full swing and the drinks are flowing. Everyone seems to be having a good time, except Laron. We learn that he and Koshiea have been communicating via text regularly but recently, her communication has started to wane. He gets a little jelly as he watches her flirt with the other gentlemen. He pulls her aside to ask her what’s good. Koshiea says all is well, but she is just participating in “the process.” She explains that if they only interact with one another, they may as well leave the show. She has a point. When Mya walks into the room, Laron flirts with her by playfully hugging her and whispering in her ear. Koshiea, in turn, gets jealous. They get into an argument and Koshiea starts to cry. What the hell is going on here? Laron seems to be annoyed with Koshiea’s tears because he abruptly leaves the room. Having witnessed the exchange, Chaz tries to intervene. He tells Laron that he was being dismissive and encourages him to go inside and apologize to Koshiea. Laron admits to being wrong but he refuses to apologize. It’s only episode 5 and these two are in a toxic relationship that isn’t even a relationship.
Everyone gathers for a game of “Truth or Sexy” which is essentially Truth or Dare by another name. The game started out with some harmless, flirty liquor -infused fun but it wasn’t long before it went left.
When it’s Jonathan’s turn to execute a sexy dare, he picks Alexis up and puts her on his lap. He holds her tightly by the waist while grabbing the back of her head. He nestled his face in her neck as she tried to wriggle free from his grip. Jonathan ignores the others as they plead for him to let her go. It took three men to pry Alexis from his from this seemingly possessed man’s arms. WHAT.THE.FUCK?
Alexis is visibly shaken although said she was fine when Justin asked if she was ok. It was nice to see the men protect Alexis but she should have never been placed in harm’s way. It’s very likely that Jonathan will be the next man to be voted out, but he should be removed immediately. He is unsafe.
Koshiea and Meika are on the chopping block this week. As we sat on the edges of our seats waiting to see who was going home the episode ended. OWN network is wrong for that.
