Episode 10 of Ready To Love took viewers on a wild rollercoaster ride as some connections grew stronger while others crashed and burned. The group getaway goes left when one contestant attempts to perform a juggling act, but winds up dropping the balls. Let’s get into it.

And Then There Were Four

William is eliminated at the top of the episode and Patrice is not happy about it. Following William’s departure, the gang gathers for a crawfish boil but  Patrice isn’t in the partying mood. Sis says she is “overwhelmed with emotion”  so she decides to retreat to her room to gather herself.

Patrice isn’t the only one who skipped the festivities, Chaz is noticeably absent and this may have to do with his earlier conversation with Vanessa, let’s backtrack.

Vanessa Has Questions

Vanessa tells Chaz she is “confused” by his recent behavior. Vanessa says she is feeling neglected because her guy seems to be prioritizing his other connections over her. She points out she hasn’t had the opportunity to talk to him all day.

“It’s only 7 o’clock,” he says.

Vanessa tells him that it’s 7pm and she hasn’t spoken to him all day.  Chaz says that he’s there with her now and “time is relative.” Their conversation ends with no resolution.

Chaz later says he is questioning Vanessa’s “emotional maturity” because she can’t seem to handle him putting her on the back burner.

Rasheena and Mya  notice that Chaz “stormed” out the room, so they ask Vaneesa what happened. She tells the ladies that she wasn’t trying to pressure him, but she needed clarity on the strange turn of events in their relationship.  She then tells the ladies that she doesn’t know whether she is being gaslit or if she is expecting too much from Chaz. We will take gaslighting for $200, Alex.

He’s A Runner, He’s A Track-Star

Patrice learns Chaz didn’t go to the party, so she goes to check on him. Brother-man says that he’s sad that the women don’t think he’s taking them seriously. He appears to be on the verge of tears as he tells Patrice, one of his connections, that he is overwhelmed with juggling the four women.

“I need to be around people who love me and understand me,” he says.

Patrice offers to pray for the man that has made himself out to be a victim. Instead of facing the mess he created, Chaz decides to pack his things and leave  the trip. Patrice joins the rest of the crowd to share the news of his departure which leaves the women even more confused.

Night Nurse

Justin isn’t feeling well, so Mieka goes to his room to check on him. She rubs his back and his hair and then gives him a hug. A beautiful woman’s touch seems to be the cure for Justin’s ailment because not only does he perk up, he invites her to come to sleep in the bed with him that night. Later that night, the pair are seen laying in bed before Justin gets up, dismisses the camera crew and closes the door.  Whew! things are getting spicy between these two.

Laron Is Locking In.

After the trip, Laron takes Mya on a date. He hand-feeds her oysters and asks her what she wants out of life. Mya says she wants the white picket fence, the two kids and a dog, but she also still wants to be able to go out and have a good time. She seems to be speaking LaRon’s language. The two 30-somethings seem to be a great match for one another and we love to see it.

Alonzo and Patrice also enjoy a fitness-filled date where the two discuss the possibility of falling in love. Patrice said she could see herself falling in love with the dreadlocked fun-guy. Will they make it official? Only time will tell.

The Elimination

It’s the men’s turn to eliminate a woman. After their deliberation, Chaz is given the task to make the decision.  He meets with Rasheena and it appears that he is going to break the news to her.

“You’re a wonderful woman,” he begins.

Instead of letting him continue with his spiel, Rasheena stops him and checks him on leaving the women hanging on the trip. She says that Chaz was her strongest connection, but his actions during the retreat changed that. She then goes on to tell him that she is eliminating herself from the process.

“Best wishes to you, great wishes to me,” she says before walking away.

AUNTIE also wish nothing but the best for Rasheena.
